I drilled holes in 1.5" x 2" angle iron. I like your blocks. Much simple than my angle iron and it costs a lot less. Drilling 4 holes (2 on the hotizontal plane, 2 on the vertical plane) times 16 forms... that's a lot of holes.

Sometime I'll post a pic. of the strongback.
