I did a huge push this week to finish my Razor Billed Auk in time for the Blackburn Challange. It still needs some cosmetic fixes and some varnish but I got it in the water for the first time today.
Features:
Western red cedar throughout with a maple strip up the center
Carbon fiber coaming a la Vaclav
Home built CF rudder
NW Indian Salmon Graphics
FAST, FAST, FAST
I did a 10 mile sprint on a flat river today and I can't wait to get it out on an open ocean race next weekend.
