Tony -

Are you using 8 magnets total or 8 PAIR? What is the hatch perimeter measurement?

By the way, make sure you have the magnets well protected. Epoxy alone isn't enough protection - it will scratch and leak, then the magnets will rust. I've had good sucess with the ones in the hatch cover, but the ones in the hatch lip are all going to get pulled out and replaced any day now.
