Sounds like the epoxy wasn't dry yet. How long after it was applied did you paddle? I afixed all of the padeyes with epoxy along with the screws and left it outside to dry overnight and after the dew hit the epoxy they all turned a milky white.On small areas like that though it is an easy fix. I went over them with a hair drier and and it mostly cleared up.
As far as being an SOF only type guy, if I could do what you do with this technique I surely would be. There is nothing like wood though. The feel, the smell, the infinite patterns of the grain. I would love to do a stripper and someday I will but right now I am hooked on SOF's.
