This is pretty rich coming from a guy who in a wanton criminal act (unassisted and only using a hand held jig saw) just reduced Nicks beautiful paper forms plans to a pile splotchy (ados contact adhesive wash through) rat-eared remnants on 20 pieces of plywood. The sad looking pile may ultimately result in a beautiful expedition single stripper. But just looking at the forms by themselves doesn't reflect well on this builders skill, but I digress.

The stern doesn't look too bad. Assuming that there is enough of an endpour left (which you could easily resolve if you need to) a suggestion would be to:

*saw the ragged end off, making a nice angled slice with a flat face.
*rough a new stern tip out of a solid piece of wood
*glue and dowel the block into the cut stern - what the hey, drill from the outside of your replacement block all the way through and into the 'meat of your existing stern' to resolve any location/lining problems.
*sand and fair and fibreglass as deemed fit.

Might work

If nothing else it would sort of be practice for that Baidarka that you will build for yourself someday?
