I'm probably missing the boat here (pun intended), but a couple of times I
simply cut off the ends during stripping, and added vertical strips to the bow
and stern. Though your boat needs a much more extensive treatment, veneers,
following the general stem shape, or a shaped block as Pete mentioned might do
the job. On the Hazen Double pictured, I did no end pour as the strips were pretty rugged when glassed. Sorry about the pic quality, these were the only ones I could find of the stems.
