Re: Skin-on-Frame: Linseed Oil?
In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Linseed Oil? (Richard)
On the two frames I've done to date, I applied a 50:50 mix of boiled linseed oil and turpentine, working from one end to the other. I just applied it liberally with a brush. As soon as I reached the end, I went back to the beginning and started wiping it down. The following day, I applied a second coat in the same manner. On the third day, I started skinning. Two days later, I started applying oil-based urethane. No problems were encountered.
