: Second question: why use copper wire or zip ties? Copper's provided in the
: kit, and seems like it's fine to work with...but I've been zip ties touted
: far and wide on the web. Any odd pitfalls in copper?

I tried using a few zip ties to hold hull panels together on my most recent S&G hybrid projects. Won't do it again. Not necessarily faster than wires and, if you get any epoxy on them, you won't be able to pull them loose. The ridges on the zip ties will lock into the epoxy. They worked very well for clamping strips together while the glue dried.

On the other hand, I used zip ties exclusively to clamp together pieces and parts of my SOF hybrid project last summer.
