Magnetic hatches & Hatch Pulls

I have installed 3/8" magnets in the hatch lip and hatches on my S&G Cirrus. Next is to figure out a mechnism to pry off the hatches after the deck and hull are joined. What are the pros & cons with webbing pulls vs. finger recesses?

It seesm the webbing pull is fairly easy to install but is not as "clean" as the finger recess. Although the webbing can always be removed at a later date in order to convert to a finger recess.

Finger recess on the other hand has a cleaner look. It will however require exposing layers of plywood.

Any comments?
