I have a difficult removing the hatches with the finger recess. In building I said, "I climb rocks, my fingers are strong enough. However, cold and/or waterlogged fingers make it is almost impossible. There have only been a few other people that have been able to remove the lids, and that is after eliminating one of the magnets.

I am thinking of adding some type of pull (webbing, 5mm static cord, light explosives) to help out. The deck won't look as clean, but I will be able to get to my chips and beer ;)

B4 you decide you might want to find someone near you that has used magnets and the 2 methods of "pulls" and see what you like.
