Thinking you will stay close to shore may not work out in practice. The gentle current at that location is often circular due to the curved shoreline and the pier, so it tends to carry people away from shore at certain points. With all the mayhem of the activities and large ships throwing wakes our way, getting dunked is a real possibility. Besides, you might miss out on some of the fun activities like the on water photo, the group paddle, and trying out skinny boats. There are always extra boats around to use for these events.

If a women's medium NRS wet suit will fit you, let me know and I will bring it for you. My wife will be wearing her drysuit. If you have synthetic long underwear/outerwear, bring that to wear under the wetsuit. If you do not have a paddling coat, bring any waterproof windbreaker and some plasitc wrap for your wrists and you then have a near dry top.
