This is way off topic, but since I talk to you guys as much as anybody . . well I just wanted you to know.

My wife and I would like to announce the graduation(in 2 weeks)of our daughter, Kelly, from the University of Florida, the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Medicine. Kelly attended her final doctoral dissertation defense Tuesday, giving a 45 minute lecture on "Transcription and Transcriptional Control in the Human beta-Globin Locus" after which all of the professors on her committee signed off on her completion of the course. Kelly will be doing her post-doc at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Kelly has been a student at UF for the past 9 years and we are so very proud of her accomplishment. I feel that we have reached the end of one era and are now embarking on another.
