Just read Ken Rasmussen's article again on carving a foam seat. He suggests starting with a foam block that's only 12" front to back. My butt's not huge, but that seems awfully short to me. I can't imagine that provides a lot of support. (remember --- at this point in my kayaking career, I've done a lot more building than I have paddling).
My question for those of you who have built, or are building a foam seat ---- what length (front to back) did you end up with, in order to get comfortable support?
Thanks;
Ken
