For about half the boats I've been building I've been going to Walmart and buying a $6.00 plastic boat seat. It has proven to be comfortable for many hours. On my latest strip built I have a space behind the seat for things I need to get at quickly. A seat that folds down might be nice. I'm glad to see that someone else is using something besides the "standard" kayak seat. For a variety of reasons, on my own kayaks, I try to make seats that are adjustable for height at the very least. A complete seat unit with back might be a workable answer. Anyway...thoughtful innovation never stops...
