Hi Ken. I don't have the exact measurement for mine but it is pretty much in line with what the others have said. You could also use a spacer to bring the foam forward a few inches more because your glutes are forward of the backrest. I ended up spending too much $ for foam but I wanted plenty on hand since I wasn't sure what I was doing. I'll use the extra for knee hooks.
