I believe this is a specialty item. I bought remnants but the packcloth goes for about $21/yd and the taffeta for about $9/yd. They also have oxford which is in between in weight. Seattle fabrics will give you a copy of the Sea Kayaker article on making dry bags and float bags if you ask. Their color selection seems a bit random as is the sales help, but they have good stuff for making outdoor gear.
BTW I put my taffeta chart case under my deck bungies during practice last night and the magazine inside stayed dry after several inversions. The cordura dry-bag I put behind the seat was dry, too even after I bailed.I put a couple of grommets in the flaps near the bottom of my dry bag (no not into the bag), mainly because I saw this grommet kit while wandering through Harbor Freight...
