My Night Heron also had problem of weathercock , it pulled to the left even during mild wind, I'm 5'10", 175lbs, tried everything, moved seat forward/backward, no seat, different backbend, no help. I constantly leaned to the right/left to correct the course. On a very windy day it's very difficult trying to paddle straight and brace the confused waves, so I added a fixed skeg. Now it tracks like an arrow in water. I zigzaged across the lake in 10-15 mph wind, did not make any correction stroke. I could still lean/turn to any direction I desired. Best of all, the fixed skeg didn't affect the maneuverability of the NH. The fixed skeg is about 1.25 in height , 15in long. NH feels like it has a much longer glide (in straight line of course). Finally I have the TOTAL CONTROL !!!

You might add a fixed skeg, or shift your weight
