I just measured my seat bottom and it's only 12 inches. I think it will be okay because my knees are so high (in order to touch the knee hooks) that my legs barely touch the seat there anyway. Here's one more shot of it: http://www.chipsandresky.com/Stitchnglue/images/seat3.jpg
