I'm getting closer on my King. I've used 3.25 oz satin for most of the boat, both inside and out. I decided to put a piece of 6 oz. plain weave as a second layer on the floor of the cockpit for wear resistance and additional strength. Initially, I was only going to put on the wetout coat with the idea that the texture of the cloth would provide an "anti-skid" surface.
I'd like some feedback from others that have left the floor unfilled. Is it a lot of hassle to keep it clean? Do you recommend more fill coats? With all the experience on this board, I'd like a vote on the "best" treatment for the cockpit floor.
Thanks
jrs
PS The website isn't up to date - I'll get to it one of these days.
