John,

That's what I did on my Coho except that my first layer was 6 oz.

Greg

: I'm getting closer on my King. I've used 3.25 oz satin for most of the boat,
: both inside and out. I decided to put a piece of 6 oz. plain weave as a
: second layer on the floor of the cockpit for wear resistance and
: additional strength. Initially, I was only going to put on the wetout coat
: with the idea that the texture of the cloth would provide an
: "anti-skid" surface.

: I'd like some feedback from others that have left the floor unfilled. Is it a
: lot of hassle to keep it clean? Do you recommend more fill coats? With all
: the experience on this board, I'd like a vote on the "best"
: treatment for the cockpit floor.

: Thanks

: jrs

: PS The website isn't up to date - I'll get to it one of these days. :(
