I must admit, I have an advantage here, because I machine metals and plastics for a living. There was a little bit of "inventory shrinkage" in the month of July. Is it stealing if I'm stealing from myself?
I bought 6 feet of 3/8" TFE rod, mechanical grade, then cut it into 6 pieces. The rod can be purchased from any plastic supplier such as Curbell Plastics. It is always easier to buy if the branch actually has the rod in local stock, because they are more likely to waive any minimum order. Plus, you save on shipping. I don't recall the price I paid, but as it was part of a larger order, I did not pay much for the one length.
