Popups?

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. There are no popups on the site. I don't really know what "popups" you'd be seeing -- it's just a personal site with links to photos & descriptions of my kayak construction. The HTML is fairly much plain-vanilla (apart from some stylesheet stuff), and all links are simple hyperlinks to individual HTML pages. No javascript, not server-side-includes, nothing funky. The site is privately hosted, so there are no ISP-style popups flying out at you. It should be fairly clean and simple.

I just had another friend check things out, and he confirmed that he had no popups served.

I'm sorry if strange things are happening, but the page is surely not set up that way. Perhaps some sort of third-party middleware/spyware furtively installed itself and that may be the cause? Just a thought. Sometimes that happens. But the site itself is clean, I assure you.
