Hey Rick, Congrats on getting back to work on your "L". Cutting the hatches is a nerve-racking event for me too, but I've got them done already on my "L". Are you doing the recessed channel on the hatch lips for the seal?

As far as your year-old epoxy is concerned, mix up a small batch and make sure that it sets up properly and make sure that it isn't discolored. If it all looks good, have at it!!

Get us a pic posted of the whole boat when you can.

Here's a pic of where I stand on mine. I re-enforced the cockpit recess and thigh braces on the under-side of the deck and epoxied the tee-nuts in place for the deck fittings today. I still have to put the two halves together, install the bulkheads, and fit it out. I wanted to have it in the water by the end of this month, but, between the hot Fl. temps and running back and forth to the hospital I'm not sure that its going to happen. Guess thats what NEXT month is for huh? I'm also working on an adjustable seat and Schade style footrest(part of which got epoxied into the hull today also).

Happy Building.

Charles.
