Happy, Monday, folks.
Okay, I'm ready to glass the lip on my cockpit. After having glassed the rest of the boat, I've experienced some issues with the glass sticking to the contours of the boat. So, I can't imagine how I'll get the glass to conform around the lip without getting lots of air bubbles. As I move from the deck, up the outside risers, around the lip, then over the top edge of the lip and down the inside of the risers, I count 5 90ish degree turns. How do you do this? Is it just a matter of going slow, working in sections, and sticking with it and babying it until it sets up to the point where you can walk away from it, or is there a trick?
Oh... I built the lip with multiple thin strips, like in Nick's book, and the boat is Jay's Outer Island.
