The yak looks awesome!! I can't wait to see it. The wife and I are going to Neebish Island - 15 miles south of Sault Ste. Marie Mi - in two weeks and we're still pondering whether or not to take ours. To get them ready I’ll have to relieve – cut through the epoxy and glass on the inside - the front hatch covers to match the new shape of the hull that was forced back into shape by taping the inside seam. Install bulkheads and put a little glass on the front of DaWifes Guillemot. We then need to purchase a skirts for her boat. This should make them seaworthy enough to paddle for a couple hours a day – watching out for the lake freighters of course. Then once we get home all that will be left to do is the final epoxy and varnish coats. I hate to take them out unfinished they look ugly all scratched up with 40 grit feather sanding.

P.S. we will probably be heading to your side of the state sometime in September with the kayaks besides this weekends Dearborn days – at the mother-in-laws, after that we are looking at Thanksgiving.
