This is NOT spam. I'm not getting paid or affiliated with this company, but I just ordered a set of the new Seal Line Smart Track footbraces from paddlers.com. They have them on sale for 30% off. You have to order each piece individually, but I got the whole thing for $225. That's just $50 more than a cheaper aluminum rudder. The Seal Line is made of salt-resistant materials. It also has a foil rudder, and has a toe rudder pedal where you have one fixed pedal and a toe pedal above that for the rudder. I like that. Also you can get a trim tab that mounts on the deck and locks the rudder for long crossings, saving you from having to keep one foot on the rudder. I like that, but they were sold out of that particular item, which runs $44.

The Seal Line rudder got great reviews in Sea Kayaker Magazine, and after researching I had decided to buy it, and for once in my life it wasn't just overly expensive. I usually tend to pick the doggone most expensive one you can get. The 30% discount made a huge difference.
