My only regret is that I haven't done more...especially when I was younger. A strip built requires a certain commitment in time and the ability to stay the course until the project is complete. Your wife will think you have a mistress. When she comes out to the shop and observes how you treat your new project...she'll know that you do. One good thing is that you can take as long as needed to complete the project. The actual woodwork isn't very hard...just a bit tedious. If you complete a strip built, or any other boat, you'll be able to stand back and say, "I did that." After saying all that, only you will be able to decide if such a project is for you.
