Yakima should retrofit their existing foot pegs, it's mindless and low tech using a hollow braid 1/8" vectran line providing adjustability between the hinged toe plate on the footpeg and the ss. wire by the bulkhead. The Sealine footbraces look cool but I've heard some folks mention the footbrace being able to get knocked out of adjustment during a wetexit.
The thing that gets me is how Necky uses a plastic covered loop of ss wire that allows another 1/2" of stretch in an already spongy system with the webbing.
Using an existing yakima footbrace you've got a bombproof footbrace, 1/8" hollow braid vectran with a constrictor splice has the same strength as the 1/16" ss wire and about the same stretch.
The Sealine is cool but the thing I like about the jury-rigged yakimas, besides more fiddling around, is that there isn't much likelyhood of putting your entire leg strength into the control wires.
