In Response To: Strip: Taping inner seam with one layer? (Jim in ND)

: Has anyone ever tried taping the inner seam with just one layer of 9 oz. tape
: rather than 2 layers of lighter tape? I have never used just one layer
: before, but I inadvertantly ordered the 9 oz. instead of 6 oz. It occured
: to me that it may be strong enough by itself. Any experience with it?

I use only one layer of 6 oz. 3" wide seam tape on my kayaks so I'm certain
you would have no problem a long as the tape is at least 3" wide.
