I buy ABS sheet plastic by the foot at a specialty, but consumer oriented, plastic house. Any place that sells plexiglass or polycarbonate would likely have it. The stuff I buy is black and is textured on one side. It runs about $3 per square foot for 1/8" thick stock. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and I buy it at TAP Plastics.

UNMW = ultra high molecular weight plastic. The stuff I buy is white and I buy the cut offs. It's not easy to find. I buy it at a big industrial type place that markets the material to industry and does fabrication as well, so they have cut offs they sell to the public. Over here, it runs around $5 to $6 per square foot for 1/8" stock.
