If you had a deck, you'd have no problem whatsoever!!

So...to continue my hypothesis:

If more than half the kayak's volume is submerged while at 0* of heel, when heeled, the stems will actually submerge more. Sort of obvious, if you think about it. The only difference that would come into play would be when the paddler's body enters the water, and begins to support itself and lighten the load of the kayak.
