Robert,

Just ran out and measured my Cunningham. At the aft end of my cockpit, the depth from the top of the combing to the deepest part of the hull is 9 1/2 inches. I altered the cockpit described in the plans, put in a keyhole and raised the deck just slightly, but at the front of the keyhole (32 inches fwd of the back edge), the depth is 12 inches. In this picture from SSTIKS, Shawn Baker and I are discussing the details of a proposed combingectomy to lower that aft dimension to about 7 1/2 inches -- a likely wintertime project.
