Thanks Dave, The accent strips are walnut. I paid $1.00 a board foot for the wood I used, but I got it from a buddy who had it stacked in his barn. One of the local sawmills has rough cut butternut for $3.00 bf. Some disease is running through New York and PA killing off a lot of butternut trees, there should be a lot on the market in the next couple of years as the dead/dying ones are harvested.
