I'd also add that Bobby Curtis was kind enough to print out some intermediate forms for me to try. I think you'll find that most designers who sell plans will be very glad to help you with this type of modification. IMO, it's one of the best construction methods. You get the quick building of a S&G with the beautiful look of strip built.
