The reason for the thread above, ("Questions Regarding Guillimot-Paddle Biulding") was because some parts of Nick's book were not clear to me and some are still not clear. Thanks for the "Paddles 101" tip. It explained the paddle questions I had such as; "Left and right paddle" in Nick's book really refers to left or right "control hand" in "Paddles 101". I couldn't concieve of a kayak paddle being left or right handed.

I guess that when I started building my "Prospector" canoe I got every book I could get on the subject. The books were mostly clear and logical to me but some parts of them where not. I asked alot of stupid questions on the Bear Mountain Boat Shop forum and I thank heaven that the respondees perservered with my lack of canoe building know-how. They directed me to the various methods of construction of cedar strip canoes and now you are directing me in techniques of kayak building.
