Reg,
That sounds like one of my favorite quotes -- : "Adventure is a sign of incompetence" Vilhjalmur Stefanson, 1879-1962, intrepid arctic explorer.
After I first came across this quote I began to notice that many of the "adventures" that you hear about are where folks get into trouble because they were somehow unprepared. I like you view of having worthy goals and accomplishing them uneventfully. The boat looks great (but I'm sure you already knew that). Looking forward to seeing that King this weekend in the currents off Pt. Wilson.

: Thanks David, I am pleased with the way the King turned out.
: As for being an adventurer, I think adventure is usually just incompetence,
: so I try not to use that word too often. I do like to have worthy goals
: and accomplish them uneventfully though.
: The ZuZu paddles are a real work of art and have a great feel to them, I have
: two. Chris is a fellow gizmologist and has created some interesting
: tooling to produce paddles. Some of his most innovative work does not
: show, like the carbon fiber core on foam that is built into the wood
: shaft. They are a labor of love and it shows in the flawless workmanship.
: He has a website under zuzupaddles
