Along with what Robert mentioned, you can use Aquaseal. It's sold at all kayak stores and supliers. It's used to install latex seals and patching drysuits etc. It lays flat and stays totally flexable forever. Dive shops carry it too. Some boating stores may have it.

You can also find it at fishing stores sold for repairing waders (same stuff, different labeling)
