Seeking: Foam Seat Info

Someone posted a message a while back concerning the use of the camping pads, sold at Wal-Mart, for molding foam seats. It doesn't say "closed cell" on the package, but it does say "water proof" NOT "water resistant". And it sure would beat the price of mini-cell, not to mention the shipping charges!(if it will work)
Q1: Is this the light blue pads that are being used?
Q2: What glue are you using to laminate the layers together, as the pads are only 1/2" thick?
Q3: Have you had any problems with the layers separating?
Q4: How has the pading material held up?
Any info/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
Charles
