Malcom,
I installed them using the studs as has been previously noted. However, it doesn't sound as if that is really a viable option for you if you need the boat done by Sunday. If you have enough room though, the idea of t-bolts mounted in a quarter inch piece of wood that is then epoxied in the proper locations could work just as well I think.

I ended up taking a piece of quarter inch plywood, cutting it about 2 inches longer than the footbrace and about 2 1/2 - 3 inches wide. I used some extra carbon fiber, although you could probably use fiberglass and wrapped the plywood piece with this, just to stiffen it up some. I mounted the Seal-line brace to this support and then screwed the whole thing into the boat. You could mount it at the ends or make the bracing plywood a little wider and screw it along the top if that makes any sense. I could send you a drawing if that would help make it clearer.

Mine did fail, I think because I just didn't put enough glass around the stud mounted on the inner hull. I redid it with a 6 inch square of glass and another 4 ' square on top of it, it's held up fine. In your case the t-nuts would replace the studs and I think work just as well. I hope that helps somewhat.

: Hello Everyone,

: For those of you that have the Seal-Line footbraces installed in a stripper,
: how did you do it? Did you use elongated screws, or will this idea work:
: Screw the footbraces into a cedar strip, with the screw mounted flush.
: Epoxy the cedar strip to the hull with lots of thickener.

: The doggone screws are too short to go through the 1/4" hull, and I hate
: to have screw heads on the outside of the boat. I was thinking I could
: install studs, but did not realize these are screw mounted. Any
: suggestions? I need to get these installed by Sunday.

: Thanks,

: Malcolm
