like i said try what I did for the seat. Basically you cut two shape like a tractor seat in one inch minicell for each seat. For the firts one (bottom part) you take off the minicell in the middle just leaving about 2" of minicell all the way around and a little bit for the crotch. Then you glue the complete one on top of the first. You can drill hole on the top one so it don't retain water. After a while it will mold to your bum and will be really comfortable. Since the first piece is only about two inch wide you can cut it in multiple part to save on the stuff. 1 inch stuff is also what I would recommend for back band, 3 inch would only be necessary for hip brace. I suspect that for 3 boats you would have enough of 8 square feet of 1" (2 square feet for each seat + 2 square feet for 3 back band) and 3 square foot of 3" wich come to about 40$ at most.
