Hello All,
Well,I just finished the hull on a guillemot and turned it over to start the deck. It sure seems like this design has quite a bit of a skeg pinched at the stern. I've seen a lot of people post their concerns on the boat not tracking well but you sure wouldn't guess that handling characteristic looking at the skeg at the last 2ft of keel. Nick was just talking about the handling difference between the s&g and strip version of the Night Heron being because of the amount the keel was rounded over during fairing/sanding.I think I will try and keep the sharper line intact to maybe help tracking. Anyone have any experiences with that? Bye the way,does a guillemot lean steer and/or carve a turn very well? Just thinking out loud I guess.
