Strip: Hints needed : Form alignment on strognback *Pic*

I've been fiddling around with the alignment of the forms for my Guillemot Expedition Single for half a day now, but doesn't seeem to getting anywhere.

I'm afraid I will do a complete misalignment, so does anybody have a couple of good do's and dont's for aligning the forms ?

Am I just being too nervous, or does 1/2" really matter that much ?
