Hello Jesper, I have to say that I got a kick out of the tone of frustration that came through in your post, sorry. I'm no expert but I happen to have gone through the same fears and impatience a couple of weeks ago when I set up my forms for Great Auk. Just a couple of things from me, but I'm sure others will have some good advice. Yes, I would say 1/2" is too much to be off. Also, half a day is not very long. It took me five days of fiddling before I was happy with my forms. Do you have Nick's book with helpful instructions? Did you stretch a string along the top of your strongback to find a straight line? You can then put a mark where that line crosses each form position. When you put the forms onto the strongback with those lines matched up, you at least know the boat is straight. Keep fiddling with it till you're happy with it. There is no way it will end up "completely misaligned". Trust me. Best wishes, Glen
