If it floats and tracks in a straight line, I consider it a success. Ha!

This boat is intended for rolling. As such, I felt that the slats provided a
more stable rolling base than a sling, and also made for a lower CG. (something
desirable in a 19" beam kayak.) This kayak has much less deadrise than your
FAP-15, which also made a wood floor more practical.
