The only place where my strips really pulled away from the forms was on one side at the hollow spots in the stern (and a bit at the bow). When I discovered it, I drove a finishing nail through a scrap and then through the hull into the form. I liberally sprayed water on the area and put some more hot glue against the form as best as I could reach. Just before I glassed the outside of the hull I pulled the nail. I think the strips stayed against the forms pretty well. I was obviously worried about this area for the reason mentioned: the loose tracking.

I hope to be ready for the Rendezvous - I'll let you know what happens.

my "other" (wife's) boat is a ches16lt (tracks straight-hard (for me) to turn); the Guilly will be a refreshing change in any case!
