: I have used both Captains and Flagship extensively. Put one kayak with
: Captains next to another with Flagship and you will see a very big
: difference. In my experience, if you are applying by hand, Flagship is
: almost impossible to make look as nice as Captains. It looks duller and
: shows brush marks. The finish on my wife's Silver with Captains almost
: looks sprayed on. So, if you want the supposedly better UV protection, use
: Flagship for the base layers and top coat with Captains.
: It may be technically correct that Flagship has 6 times more of something,
: but don't think for a minute that the finish on your boat will last 6
: times longer. You are going to scratch it and wear it thin in places if
: you use it. It will need a new coat of varnish now and then much sooner
: than an unused boat.

I agree,the captains varnish flows out much nicer than the flagship.With the kayaks stored inside I don't think the lesser UV protection will be an issue.
