I thought that the fiberglass kids kayak was wide, but I didn't realize that it was 26" wide. I can imagine that Kyles would feel tippy after being used to a 26" wide one. If she had got more seat time, I'm sure she would have got more comfortable with it.

It was probably somewhere between the SOF ones and the fiberglass one. None of the kids needed sponsons or outriggers with it. It was the first time my son paddled and I believe it was the first for one of the other girls that paddled it.

Thanks for the info though. All of their opinions help to make a better design.
