The challenging part of the arrow kayak was figuring out how to make and assemble the details (different arrowhead wood colors, inlays, etc). After a couple of months of pondering it all, it really didn't take that long to actually build it. I had a lot more think time in it than build time.

For example, it took me forever to figure out exactly where I wanted to add the bear tracks. Do I want to use front bear tracks or back bear tracks? The back bear tracks normally step partially onto the front bear tracks. Do I want to add those details. Then I figured I was overthinking the thing. I noticed that other companies that advertise things always use front bear tracks. So I just started building it.

I was thinking of notching the back of the arrow shaft, but I knew that someone would point out to me that the fletching (feathers) would then be on the wrong side of the shaft. Again, way to much thinking.

Finally I decided to just build it and it all worked out just fine.
