I had the opportunity to shove my head inside the cockpit and take a look. The bow cutwater is carved from a 2x4 and is very beefy. The bow is wider and more rounded than Morris' design, but not flat, like the recovery. Mark also had a really interesting finish on the skin, using poly, finished with a couple of coats of spar varnish. The result looks and feels like epoxy.
