Thanks all for the positive response. We will have four boats on the roof of our poor little Accord, three CLC boats and now this one as we make the eight hour drive north from Baltimore. (A few years ago I made cradles using Ross Leidy's design. Seems that now the roofrack folks have caught onto the idea and are coming out with similar accessories that hold the boats on edge.) The Night Heron has the place of honor outside on the left so I can watch it and other drivers' reactions. That is always part of the fun of traveling with handbuilt boats - getting to see the looks of appreciation! I'll re-post some pictures and impressions of this boat in a week.
